Demo Play~!

Okay, so, today I got to try a demo of the English version of Pokémon Black and AKDJFSKLNOTTHEARCEUSFJKL I SO DESPERATELY WANT THESE GAMES NAO.D8

*WARNING: I'm about to ramble on about the demo. If you don't want to be spoiled, stop reading now.

The demo was so epic, if not ridiculously short.XP It started off in Iccirus City, during the season of winter. I started off as the female character, already named Whitlea, with three Pokémon on my team: Snivy, Zorua, and Deerling. (Small little difference that I noticed: You know how, if you don't nickname a Pokémon, it's name shows up in all caps (i.e. CHARIZARD)? That's been changed now; only the first letter of the Pokémon's name is capitalized, like a proper name.XP) Immediately I was already talking to one of Professor Juniper's aides, who told me that Professor Junpier wanted to meet me at Dragonspiral Tower. As soon as I started walking away from the aide I ran into Bianca, who immediately challenged me to a battle. She only had Oshawott on her team, which I quickly beat with Snivy.XP I couldn't walk very far around town unfortunately, since there were people stationed outside the houses and the Gym and one person on the path preventing me from going south. (Also, no running shoes.D8 And I couldn't open the menu either to check my team and bag.

) So I was pretty much forced to go north and exit the city. Also, because it was winter, I was able to access the ridge which you can only reach during winter when there's a big snowpile that you can walk up to the ridge.x3 I didn't explore very far into the ridge, but I did get to experience wild double battles up there~ I ran into an Audino and a Munna, which is weird 'cause apparently Munnas aren't even supposed to be in the wild near Iccirus City.XP (I also got thrown off for a bit 'cause I didn't realize that Zorua was using it's Illusion ability and thought I was fighting with Deerling.

) After going down the ridge again and heading further north I ran into Cheren just outside the entrance to Dragonspiral Tower who, of course, challenged me to a battle.XP He had Tepig and Deerling on his team, both of which I defeated with Zorua. Passing him, I entered Dragonspiral Tower, where I met Professor Juniper, who talked a little bit about the legendary Pokémon before the game went to a cutscene showing Zekrom (which is weird, since I was playing Black, not White

). Then the demo ended and started over again.D8 Yes, it was literally less than five minutes long. I probably could've played it longer, but there was this huge line-up of kids waiting to try it so I figured I'd better just get out of there and let someone else have a go. ._.

SO YEAH. Playing that demo has made me all the more desperate for the games now.D8 The graphics were AMAZING, especially the cutscene with Zekrom. The battle style is nicely fast, and of course the moving sprites are epic too.x3 I really wish the demo could've been longer though, or I'd thought to drag it out a little more.D8' But, overall, I guess I'm happy with what I got~

Speaking of what I got, quick once-over of other stuff at the "Pokémon station" there.XP It was basically divided into two sections, with one side being a bunch of little kid-sized tables with DS's set up for the demos (I guess they didn't expect a 19-year-old to crash their booth *shot*), and the other side being a colouring and facepainting station. The people running the booth were wearing awesome Nintendo DS T-shirts with pictures of Reshiram and Zekrom and the words "Pokémon Black" and "Pokémon White" on the back (we asked if they had them for sale, but unfortunately not D8). They were going around asking groups of kids trivia questions about the new games and giving away different Pokeball stress balls for answering correctly.XP I tried not to answer at first, 'cause they were all little kids and I figured they should get the chance to answer first (since I knew the answers to every single question they asked

) but eventually there came a question that they couldn't answer (What is the new battle style introduced in Pokémon Black and White?) so I went ahead and answered it (Triple and Rotational battles--I said both 'cause I didn't know which one they would accept XP). I won a Lure Ball stress ball for getting that question correct.
